Synchronising files and folders
File and folder synchronisation ensures that any change to the selected files or folders on a given device (computer, phone, ...) is immediately and automatically reflected in the copy of the file on the cloud CD storage, and vice versa.
Caution, if you delete a synchronized file on one storage location, the CD will delete it from all synchronized folders!
Connecting NextCloud to CD
This tutorial assumes that you have downloaded and installed the NextCloud ⧉ app. This is a third party application for which we do not provide support except for connecting to the CD service. Please refer to the NextCloud ⧉ documentation for information.
Follow these steps to connect NextCloud to a CD:
- Open the NextCloud app.
- In the Add New Account window, select Sign in to your NextCloud.
- In the Server address box, type https://cd.wedos.com.
- In the new window that opens, click the Login button.
- Log in to WEDOS iD.
- Click the Grant Access button.
- Close the access notification window.

Sync files and folders with NextCloud
If you have successfully connected NextCloud to your WEDOS CD, you can set which folders and files you want to sync. Select the options for synchronisation from the side:
- Server - You can sync everything from the server or select specific folders to sync with your PC.
- Local folders - Select which folder on your PC will be synchronized with the WEDOS CD.
If the local folder is not empty, specify whether you want to delete or keep the current files.

When you have finished setting up, click Connect.
Connecting via WebDAV
You can connect any WebDAV-enabled application to the CD.
First, find out the WebDAV URL by following these steps:
- Log in to the CD web interface ⧉.
- In the bottom left menu, click Settings for Files.
- In the pop-up window, select the WebDAV tab.
- Copy the WebDAV URL.

In addition, get a unique username and password to connect third-party applications via WebDAV.
Setting passwords for WebDAV applications
Avoid connecting third-party applications with your WEDOS ID username and password!
Follow this procedure:
- Click on your icon in the top right corner and select Settings.
- Select Security from the left menu.
- In the Devices and Sessions section, type the name of the new application and click Create new password...
- Enter and save the login credentials for the application.

Keep in mind that:
- The generated name and password cannot be changed. You can only revoke it and create a new one.
- Avoid the Clear device contents option. It may cause access problems.
