Diagnostics Toolkit
With this toolkit, accessible from the customer administration, you can check a large number of possible problems you may encounter with domains and web hosts. These can include service expirations, service interconnection, web hosting performance, and public domain data.
To perform basic domain diagnostics, follow these steps:
- Log in to customer administration[administration].
- Select Domains from the top menu.
- In the table, select the specific service that you want to diagnose.
- From the left menu, select Domain Diagnostics.
Domain diagnostics is also available for Webhosting and WMS.

The diagnostics suite currently includes three tools:
- Basic diagnostics is used for a basic check of the status of services. It quickly detects problems with DNS servers and records, or expiration.
- The performance of the web application is based on an external tool called WebPageTest, which subjects the specified web page to a thorough performance test.
- WHOIS retrieves publicly available domain data from an external service.
Basic diagnostics
This diagnostic will generate the following tables with diagnostic data:
- Domain in the registry contains information about the domain taken from the registry, in particular the registrar, expiration date and DNS servers set (NSSET).
- Domain in the system supplements the domain information in the registry with internal WEDOS data.
- Webhosting for a domain contains the webhosting data with the (sub)domain name, if any.
- DNS contains primarily diagnostic information about DNS servers and records.
- Server hosting for the domain a VPS ON contain information about the servers to which the domain is pointed, if any.
- WMS web hosting for domain contains the webhosting data with the (sub)domain name, if it exists on the WMS service.
Domain in the registry
In this table you can find basic information about the domain as seen by the registry.
- Domain: the name of the diagnosed domain.
- IDN ACE: rewrite the name of the diagnosed domain if it uses foreign alphabets (for example, diacritics).
- We register TLDs: information about whether it is possible to register the extension with us.
- Availability: information about whether or not a domain is registered.
- Registrar: information about whether or not we register this particular domain and the name of the domain registrar.
- Status: an overview of the domain status, for example, restrictions on working with the domain (clientHold and so on).
- Expiry: the expiry date and the number of days remaining until that date (negative numbers represent time after expiry).
- DNS: a list of DNS servers that the domain uses, as specified in the registry. For more information, see Domains - DNS servers (NSSET).
- DNS status: settings of DNS servers and listing of possible collisions.
- DNSSEC status: DNSSEC settings and possible collisions. For more information, see Domains - DNSSEC.

Domain in the system
In this table you can find additional information about the domain from the VEDOS system.
- Registered: information about whether the system already registers the domain (for example, if it has been registered with us in the past or has been accepted for transfer).
- Status: information about whether the domain can be managed in the system (active) or not (deactivated, deleted).
- Expiry: the expiry date and the number of days remaining until that date (negative numbers represent time after expiry).
- Owner email address verification: information about whether the domain owner has verified his or her email address (if the registry requires verification).

If you see a status of Not Required for a generic domain (com, net, biz, info, name) next to Verify owner's email address, there is a possibility that your email address is not verified after all. Customer support can tell you the actual status ⧉.
Webhosting for a domain
In this table you will find data about the web host with the (sub)domain name, if any. If you are using the WebSite ⧉ service, you will find here the hosting data that is assigned to it.
- Webhosting: information about whether a webhost is set up for the (sub)domain and whether it is in the customer's account.
- Condition: short description of the web hosting status:
- pending payment - payment has not yet arrived or has not been successfully paired (incorrect variable symbol or amount),
- set up - lasts no longer than 1 hour,
- active - webhosting is fully functional,
- Suspended - the webhosting is out of service, but you can resume it by paying for the service; it lasts 30 days after expiration, the expiration of the service will reduce this time to 7 days,
- deleted - webhosting is completely deleted and cannot be restored from our side.
- Expiry: the expiry date and the number of days remaining until that date (negative numbers represent time after expiry).
- Cluster: the location on the server where the hosting is stored. You will especially use it when monitoring the service Status ⧉.
- And records: information about whether the IPv4 address of the domain points to the web host.
- AAAA records: information about whether the IPv6 address of the domain points to the web host. AAAA records are optional.
- MX records: information about whether the web host uses (at least partially) our mailservers.
- Emails - space: up-to-date information about the use of space for emails.
- Emails - sent (PHP): the number of emails sent on this day via the PHP function mail().

DNS
This table provides basic information about DNS servers and records.
- DNS: the list of DNS servers that the domain uses, as determined by self-diagnosis. If it differs from the DNS in the Domain table in the registry, a change of DNS servers is probably in progress.
- DNS status: summary diagnostics of DNS servers.
- A: list of A domain records (excluding subdomains).
- AAAA: a list of AAAA domain records (excluding subdomains).
- MX: list of MX records for the domain (excluding subdomains).
- WDNS: information about whether the domain uses WEDOS DNS.
- DNSSEC: Information about whether DNSSEC security is active for the domain. For more information, see Domains - DNSSEC.

Server hosting for the domain
In this table you will find basic information about the server hosting for the domain. It can be a dedicated server, a VPS SSD, a VPS HDD, a redirect server (if the domain is set to redirect), or a Miniweb server.
- Server Host: name and number of the server host. Click on the magnifying glass button to open the detail of the server.
- Type: type of server - virtual or dedicated.
- Condition: a short description of the server hosting status:
- Waiting for set-up - payment has not yet arrived or has not been successfully paired (incorrect variable symbol or amount), or service set-up is in progress (within 1 hour of receipt of payment),
- active - the server is fully functional,
- Suspended - the web hosting is out of service, but you can resume it by paying for the service; it lasts 30 days after expiration, the expiration of the service reduces this time to 7 days.
- Expiry: the expiry date and the number of days remaining until that date (negative numbers represent time after expiry).
- IP addresses: the IPv4 addresses assigned to the server host.

Frequently Asked Questions
How up-to-date is the data in the diagnostics?
The up-to-dateness of the data usually ranges from minutes (for example, service status) to hours (DNS servers).
According to the diagnostics I have everything active, but the services are still not working, what is it?
Even active services can have errors. These may include:
- service limitations - watch the Status ⧉;
- outdated information in diagnostics (applies to DNS records and servers) - wait at least 1 hour;
- other problem - look for a solution according to the error message or contact support ⧉.
How can I find out if the error on Status is related to my web hosting?
You can find the service cluster in which your webhosting is located by using the diagnostics, Webhosting to Domain box, Cluster item.
I have set up A/AAAA/MX records, but according to the diagnostics they are not pointing to the webhost. What's wrong?
Make sure that you have changed the records on the DNS servers that you actually use. If the records still don't match, it's possible that the records themselves are yet to be changed (usually takes up to 1 hour), or the servers (can take up to 48 hours).
Why do I have different DNS server names in the Registry Domain and DNS tables?
It is likely that DNS servers have changed in the last 48 hours.
How do I find more detailed records of a (sub)domain?
If you have DNS records with us, you can access them by following the DNS - Domain Records instructions.
What does Emails - 0MB (?%) of GB space mean?
This Webhosting on WMS does not have email boxes enabled. You can enable mailboxes by opening the Mail Settings link in the left menu.
