In this manual you will find a description of the EWM supplementary service tests. For instructions on how to activate and access the interface, see EWM - Activation and Basic Operation.
In this article you will learn how the tests work:
Domain
The domain test is available in Professional and High Availability. It will alert you in time when the domain is about to expire. An expired domain usually means an unexpected suspension of your website and emails, and after the protection period, you may even lose your domain altogether.

HTTP
The HTTP test is available in all variants. It can tell if your website is working or not and can alert you to unusual situations. It uses HTTP statuses to do this. The usual 200 OK response means that the site is working. If EWM detects a different response (404 Not Found, 403 Access Denied, 301/302 Redirect, etc.), it sends a warning.
Unexpected responses most often occur when a site is corrupted, content is deleted, settings are incorrect, or an attack occurs. This can cause the site to be down for many days or display extraneous content before you notice.

DNS servers
The DNS server test is available in all variants. Some users may have trouble connecting to the web or delivering email if DNS is not set up correctly or is down. Monitoring can provide early warning of this.

DNSSEC
The DNSSEC test is available in Professional and High Availability variants. DNSSEC is used to verify that no one is trying to spoof DNS records along the way. In this type of attack, a visitor can get to the spoofed site and give the attackers their personal or payment information. Monitoring can track its correct settings and alert you if a check is needed.

MX servers
The MX Server Test is available in Professional and High Availability. MX servers are used for email delivery. If they are unavailable, your emails will stop arriving. Monitoring can detect the problem with the mailserver in time and alert you to it.

SMTP
The SMTP test is available in all variants. SMTP server is used to send your mail. If it is unavailable, you will not be able to send any e-mail, even automatic e-mails from the site (registration, orders, etc) may not be delivered. Monitoring can alert you to a problem with SMTP in time.

POP3 / IMAP
POP3 and IMAP tests are available in all variants. POP3 and IMAP servers are used to connect a mail client (Outlook, Thunderbird, Mail, etc.). If there are problems with the POP3/IMAP server, you will not be able to log into your email and will see a connection error in your email clients. Monitoring can alert you to the problem in a timely manner.

FTP
The FTP test is available in Professional and High Availability. The FTP server is used to store site data. You will use it mainly when uploading web pages to a web host and when managing files on the web. Unavailable FTP will make this impossible. The monitoring can alert you to this in time.

SSH/SFTP
SSH and SFTP tests are available in Professional and High Availability. They verify the availability of the SSH/SFTP server. You can also fill in login credentials, then the ability to log in is also verified.

SPF
The SPF test is available in High Availability. You can use the SPF record to set up servers from which you can send mail. Only such servers will pass the anti-spam check on the recipient side. The test verifies that the record is set up correctly and displays its contents.
