Free disk at your service
We offer the WEDOS Disk service free of charge with every active web hosting, VPS HDD/SSD and dedicated servers:
- 5 GB of space for each web host (max. 5 thousand files);
- 10 GB space for each VPS HDD/SSD or dedicated server (max. 10 thousand files).
If you have more than one hosting service, you can set up WEDOS Disk for free for each of them.
When the corresponding hosting service is suspended or cancelled, the system will also suspend or cancel the corresponding Disk. The data of the cancelled Disk cannot be recovered, nor can the data of the cancelled hosting service.
Setting up a Free Drive
Set up a free WEDOS Disk for your hosting service by following these steps:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- From the top menu, select Hosting or Server Services Web Hosting, VPS HDD, VPS SSD, or Dedicated Servers.
- From the list of services, select the one you want to set up Disk for.
- Click on WEDOS Free Disk in the left menu.
- Click on the Create Free WEDOS Disk button.
The disk will be set up within 10 minutes of placing your order.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I add multiple Free Disks to create one larger one?
No, each service has its own Free Disk, tied to that service. You cannot combine them.
Can I switch from the free Disc to the paid version?
You can't directly upgrade your free drive, but you can subscribe to the paid option ⧉ and move your data to it. The original free disk will remain for as long as you run the service it is tied to.
