WMS - Performance Diagnostics

In this guide you will learn:

Access to Grafana

Grafana is the interface for diagnosing the WMS service as a whole. Currently it cannot diagnose individual web hosts. To access it, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
  2. Select Hosting Services WMS from the top menu.
  3. Select the service you want to diagnose.
  4. In the Load Charts table, click Open Chart button.

This button will open a new Grafana window that will prompt you to enter your login details.

The login name is the name of the service, i.e. WMS*, where instead of * you fill in the corresponding number.

If you do not know your password, you can find the button to change it in the administration immediately below the Open Grafana button. You can then type the new password into the form in the Load Charts table and save it. The change will take effect immediately.

Basic Grafana control

Grafana contains a wealth of information about the performance of the WMS service as a whole. Unfortunately, performance statistics for individual web hosts are not currently available.

The first set of graphs contains the current CPU, RAM and disk usage from the web and database side.

In the top right corner you can set:

  • For how long a period of time you want to display the performance (basically the last 30 minutes).
  • How often you want to refresh the data on the page ( disabled by default).
