For a significantly faster installation, we recommend attaching installation media of the type netinstall.

RAID Setup

The server has 2 physical disks.

By default, the dedicated server is in AHCI SATAmode. In this mode, you set up RAID in software.

To change to SATA Legacy Support, to Dynamic HP Smart Array B120i RAID Support, or back to AHCI SATA contact Support as an authorized user via the contact form ⧉.

Before contacting Support, boot into the BIOS entry screen. The usual processing time for a request is a few hours during regular business hours; outside of these hours it may take longer.

Changing the mode may result in data loss, so make sure you back up your data outside the server.

SATA Legacy is suitable for older operating systems that do not support any other mode. It is kept for backward compatibility. In this mode, you also set up RAID in software.

Mode B120i mode supports RAID 0 and 1. You set it up in the tool HP Smart Array. For this mode, the operating system must include drivers.
