Common problems
Common problems with installing a prepared OS on a VPS ON include:
- The selected OS is not in the panel menu
- Stuck virtual machine on reboot or disconnecting/connecting disks
- Unavailable or broken root password
OS not on offer
Problem: The operating system I need to run on my server is not in the image menu.
Cause: we only provide selected versions of the Linux operating system. We are continuously adding to the list.
Solution: Install the OS from your own source according to the VPS ON instructions - Connecting your own ISO and installing the OS.
Stuck VMs
Problem: When manipulating disks or powering off/on, the VM is stuck and shows an unusual state.
Cause: in some cases, it may take longer than usual (on the order of minutes) to switch on or off. Other times, however, it may be a system error that needs to be addressed from our end.
Solution: Wait a few minutes. If the problem persists for tens of minutes, or the VM gets into an unusual state that cannot be resolved by restarting, contact support. Provide the service number or name and the activity that immediately preceded the freeze (e.g., mounting a new disk).
Broken root password
Problem: The root password that came in the service setup email doesn't work, or none was received.
Solution: Follow the instructions in the chapter Setting the root password in ON Sunstone. If the PASSWORD parameter is not in the table, add it.

Why isn't it on the Windows menu? How do I install it?
