If support requires FTP access to your webhost or WMS, set it up this way only.
Please inform support after access has been established.
In this article you will learn:
Establishing temporary access
To set up temporary FTP access for support, follow these steps:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- In the top menu, select Hosting Services Webhosting (or WMS).
- Select the one you want to make available to support from the hosting menu.
- In the header of the FTP account overview of the web host, click on the temporary access link for WEDOS support.

- On the following page, select the time (duration) for which you want to activate access. We recommend a minimum of 1 business day.
- Check the I agree to the terms of use box and click the activate button.

After the set time has elapsed, the system blocks the temporary support account.
The system does not automatically inform support of the establishment of temporary FTP access. If you have set it up at the request of a support staff member, please contact them as part of the ongoing communication.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long should I set up temporary access?
A routine (check) intervention, such as checking FTP availability or checking files, usually takes no more than 12 hours. More complex tasks, such as solving a problem with the CMS (WordPress and similar) can take even longer. As a rule, we recommend setting up temporary access until at least the end of the next working day and extending it if necessary.
