Administration - Shared Login

This tutorial addresses setting up shared logon through a third-party service to an existing customer account. To create a customer account using a third-party service, follow the instructions in Administration - Customer Account

To grant access to your services to another customer, set them up as an authorised user by following the instructions in Administration - Authorised User.

Shared login

With shared login, you can log in to the WEDOS customer administration using the login name (e-mail) and password of another Internet service. With shared login active, you only use one account to connect to multiple locations. We currently support the following Internet services:

  • Facebook
  • Twitter (X)
  • Google
  • LinkedIn
  • WEDOS ID
  • MyID

Activate and manage shared sign-on

You can activate shared login to an existing account in the login interface or in the customer administration.

Login interface

You can log in to the WEDOS customer administration using any supported shared login service. If this service and your customer account are not yet paired, the system will set up the connection during login.

Follow these steps:

  1. Select one of the supported services on the customer administration login page ⧉.
  2. Log in to the service of your choice.
  3. On the Pair with an existing customer account screen, fill in your WEDOS login details.
  4. Click the Pair Accounts button. This will enable shared login.

Administration in customer administration

You can add and remove shared login accounts by logging into Customer Administration.

Enter the following steps to set up the shared sign-on interface:

  1. Log in to the customer administration ⧉ with an existing shared login or with a login name (email) and password.
  2. In the top menu, select the My Account tab Customer.
  3. Click on Shared Login in the left menu.

In this interface you can:

  • Link your account to a new service: click the green Link Account button and log in to the service of your choice. This completes the linking.
  • Check your login history: click the green button with the clock icon .
  • Disconnect a connected account: click the red Remove Account button.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is shared login secure?

You can set a very strong password on your customer account, but you don't have to take a long time to enter or remember it once you've set up shared login. There are risks, of course, but in general, shared login is a secure and convenient way to access your accounts. For more tips on account security, see Administration - Customer Account Security.

How do I make sure that only I have access to my account?

Currently, one of the most secure and widely used methods of logging in is using biometrics - fingerprint or face scanning, depending on the capabilities of your mobile phone. For example, shared sign-in with MojeID offers such an option.
