Domain Insurance
For CZ domains registered with WEDOS you can arrange insurance directly from the customer administration. The service is provided by pojisteni.cz ⧉ and Slavia pojišt'ovna &box;.
The insurance order is not binding until you pay for it. The moment you pay, the insurance is contracted. You can terminate it according to the general insurance conditions ⧉ - among other things by changing the registrar or the owner of the domain.
Domain insurance basically includes the following services:
- Domain theft insurance: the policy covers technical theft of the domain, i.e. unauthorized removal of access to the domain from its rightful holder. The amount of the insurance consideration depends on the service variant. We currently offer the variant Sistota with a coverage of CZK 1,000,000 and the variant Sistota EXTRA with a coverage of CZK 3,000,000.
- IT assistance services: with Slavia pojišt'ovna's IT experts you can quickly consult problems related to domain operation, such as theft procedures, fraud prevention during transfer, lockout, change authorization, expiration of domain ownership and renewal, or theft of an online account.

The annual fee includes 1 intervention of IT Assistance Service (Security, Security EXTRA) or Legal Assistance Service (Security EXTRA only) for a maximum of 60 minutes.
Certainty Extra
The EXTRA insurance option includes the following services in addition to the basic services and higher benefits:
- Legal Assistance Services: with the help of a lawyer, you can resolve, for example, disputes over domain ownership, misuse of the name/trademark, transfer and sale, inheritance proceedings in relation to domain ownership, or seizure and blocking of a domain from the decision of government authorities. Arranging domain insurance
To arrange insurance for an existing domain, follow these steps:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- Select Domains from the top menu.
- Select the domain you want to insure from the list.
- Select an insurance option in the details and click on the Continue button on Pojisteni.cz.

Arranging domain insurance is not binding until you pay for it.
New domain insurance
You can also insure a newly established domain:
- When ordering a new domain ⧉ check Domain Insurance in additional services and select the option.
- Check your email after paying for the domain.
- Follow the instructions in the email.
Because it is an external service, the Domain Insurance system does not include it in the registration price.
Resolving an insurance claim
Call the helpline on weekdays from 9:00 to 19:00. The current number to call can be found at www.pojisteni.cz/domeny ⧉.
If you suspect that your domain has been stolen, you should also contact the Czech Police and VEDOS support.
In case of domain theft, Slavia Insurance Company will pay the insurance claim if the domain is not returned within 30 days or within 180 days from outside the EU.

If you need advice or help with the product, please contact POJISTENI.cz support ⧉. All contracts go through them, they are also in charge of orders, invoicing etc. They will also answer any other questions you may have about the product.
Do I really get 1 million CZK for a stolen domain?
In case of domain theft, the insurance company will evaluate the value of the domain, e.g. the turnover of the e-shop for a certain period, etc. Based on the documents you provide, the actual value will be determined and the corresponding amount will be paid.
