Re-registering a contact
If a contact already exists in the CZ.NIC register but is not with us, you can re-register it. Exception are MojeID contacts.
Re-register your contact by following these steps:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- In the top menu, select the Domains tab.
- Expand Tools CZ in the left menu.
- Select Re-register contact.
- Enter the name of the contact and click on the send password link.
- Enter the authorization password in the form, check the consents, and click Submit.

The contact re-registration will be reflected in the system within 30 minutes.
You cannot re-register contacts from other registries. Use another existing contact with the correct details, or create a new one.
Moving contact between customer accounts
If a contact is registered with WEDOS but is not in your customer account, you can transfer it by synchronizing it according to active domains. If, on the other hand, you want to transfer the contact to another customer, follow the chapter Transferring a domain contact.
Synchronization by active domains
By synchronizing contacts by active domains, you can move all domain contacts of a given registry that belong to domains in your account to your customer account. Follow these steps:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- In the top menu, select the Domains tab.
- On the left menu, expand TLD Tools, where TLD is a specific domain extension or domain group.
- Select Contact list.
- Click the Synchronize by Domains button in the customer account.

Transfer of domain contact
If you need to pass on a domain contact to another customer, find out their ID (the number displayed in the administration at the top right of the customer's name) and login (login email). Then follow these steps:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- In the top menu, select the Domains tab.
- On the left menu, expand TLD Tools, where TLD is a specific domain extension or domain group.
- Select Contact list.
- Select the contact you want to forward.
- In the Transfer contact to another customer account box, fill in the ID and Login of the new account.
- Confirm the move with the Move button.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why can't I re-register existing contacts from other registries?
These registers do not allow re-registration, usually for data protection reasons.
How do I re-register a contact of a domain other than CZ?
We do not support re-registration of contacts other than those in the CZ.NIC register. Use another existing contact with the correct data or create a new one.
