EWM extension

Early Warning and Monitoring - EWM ⧉ is an additional service to the domain. It is used to continuously monitor the availability of the services running on the domain and send warnings in case there is a limitation or even a shutdown.

We offer the service in three tariffs - Start, Professional and High Availability. Detailed information about the tests performed by the variants can be found on the WEDOS EWM product page ⧉.

By default, the service includes our recommended tests, but you can override these within your chosen plan. For more information, see Manual test settings.

WEDOS OnLine ⧉ offers extended domain-independent testing options.

You can quickly determine the status of services on a domain by the color of the service label:

Running and successful tests are marked in green. There is no problem, the server is running fine.
Running tests with warnings are marked in yellow. The server is running, it may have a slower response.
Running tests with an error are marked in red. The server is not responding or the test is not set up correctly.
Suspended tests are greyed out. The test is created but suspended.
Unset tests are not displayed. You must set up the test manually.

Manual test settings

For some tests, the automatic settings are not available at all, for others you may want to tweak them. To access the test settings, click on the blue detail button. Fill in the desired settings and click the green button to save your changes.

Some tests are based on the DNS records of a domain. To run the test, you just need to create the record, and EWM will automatically run the test when it detects the new record.

Monitoring and alert settings

You can change the monitoring settings in the Settings menu :

  • Interface language and time zone,
  • Email addresses for delivery of errors and warnings,
  • enable or disable sending warnings or faults for all tests.
