Increasing the space of e-mail boxes
If you need to increase the size of mailboxes on your email service, first decide what end-to-end capacity you require:
- 10 - 500 GB: For relatively low capacities, we recommend the standard increase described below.
- 1 - 5 TB: For high capacities, we recommend the Business plan, which offers other benefits such as higher limits for sending emails. More information can be found on the Mailhosting product page ⧉.
To increase the space of your email boxes normally, follow these steps:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- In the top menu, select Hosting Services Mailhosting, Webhosting, WebSite, or WMS.
- Select the specific service from the list for which you want to increase mailboxes.
- Click on Additional services in the left menu.
- Click the green button in the list of additional services (in case of the first increase), or click the magnifying glass icon next to the 5 GB email space increase.
- Select or change the number of activations for the additional service. Each activation adds a space of the specified size to the total email space.
- Click Activate or Change.
Adjust email capacity:

The settings will take effect within 30 minutes.
The system will generate and send the payment request within 1 working day.
Business tariff for emails
When you activate the Business plan, the system automatically deactivates the existing 5 GB Email Space Extension. It will attempt to deduct the previously paid funds for this service from the first payment of the tariff increase until it is reset. It will calculate the price normally from the next billing period onwards.
The activation of the Business plan itself differs for Webhosting and Mailhosting services:
- Web Hosting: follow the instructions above, but instead of the 5 GB Email Space Upgrade service, select the Email Services Upgrade to Business option. Alternatively, use this link to manage the additional service in Customer Administration.
- Mailhosting: change the service tariff according to the following instructions:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- In the top menu, select Hosting Services Mailhosting.
- Select the specific service from the list for which you want to increase mailboxes.
- Click on Change variant in the left menu.
- Select the Business tariff using the Select button.
- Confirm the change by clicking Change variant.
The settings will take effect within 30 minutes.
The system will generate and send the payment request within 1 working day.
Reducing the capacity of email inboxes
The system will only allow a reduction in e-mail capacity if the volume of e-mails on the server does not exceed the new capacity. If the system's Email Size value does not match reality, contact support via the ⧉ form and request a recalculation.
To reduce or cancel the upgrade, enter the add-on services management interface as you did when you activated the upgrade. Then, in the supplementary service settings:
- reduce the number of activations by clicking the change link in the Supplementary Service Information table and selecting the new number of activations for the supplementary service, or
- Deactivate the additional service by clicking the Deactivate button and confirming the deactivation.

Common problems
Common problems with increasing and decreasing mailbox capacity include:
- An incorrect value is displayed in the administration
- The mailboxes are still 100% full after the capacity increase
- The capacity of the boxes cannot be reduced
Incorrect mailbox capacity value
Problem: After increasing the capacity, the original (incorrect) value is still displayed in the administration.
Cause: The increase in mailboxes usually takes effect within half an hour. The administration also displays two different values - the mailbox capacity (maximum volume of emails) and the occupancy (current volume of emails).
Solution: Wait for the settings to be made after the settings have been made. Also, make sure you are checking the capacity in the right place - you can find it in the Limits section of the Emails - Domain, Permissions, Limits guide.
Individual mailboxes remain full
Problem: After increasing the capacity, some (or all) mailboxes are still 100% full.
Cause: capacity can be set for individual mailboxes.
Solution: Check the settings of each mailbox according to the E-mail - Mailboxes instructions.
Cannot reduce capacity
Problem: When I try to reduce the capacity, I get an error message that there are more emails in my mailbox than the new capacity.
Cause: if the mailbox deletion occurred recently, the system has probably not yet recalculated the volume of emails.
Solution: contact support via the form and ask for verification and possibly manual recalculation of the capacity in the system.
Frequently Asked Questions
I need more than 510 GB of space for emails. How to achieve this?
Webhosting or Mailhosting upgrade your hosting to the Business plan. WMS and WebSite do not support this plan yet.
