IPv6 on VPS SSD
VPS SSD servers have two IPv6 subnets assigned by default, one in the /64 range and the other in the /48 range. One IPv6 address is enabled by default in the administration.
The administration does not pass any information about allowed IPv6 addresses to the server, so you set them manually on the network interface of the operating system.
Enabling IPv6 in administration
In the basic VPS SSD settings, one IPv6 address is enabled in the administration.
To manage the allowed IPv6 addresses, follow these steps:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- From the top menu, select Server Services VPS SSD.
- Select the service whose IPv6 addresses you want to modify from the list.
- Select IPv6 Enable from the left menu.

You can add and remove allowed addresses in this interface.
New IPv6 address
Use the following steps to enable the new IPv6 address in the IPv6 address management interface:
- In the IPv6 Address Assignment box, select the prefix of the selected IPv6 subnet.
- Fill in the rest of the IPv6 address in the box next to the prefix.
- Fill in the captcha.
- Use the >> button to add an IPv6 address.
- In the service details, turn VPS off and on.

Finish enabling the address by turning the VPS off and on (a normal reboot is not enough).
You can then activate the enabled IPv6 address on the network interface.
