) and upload via FTP to the directorywww/domains
. - Follow the instructions for Webhosting - Databases to create a new database for WordPress.
- Enter the domain in the address bar and perform the installation.

Common problems
Common problems with WordPress on Webhosting include:
- Application Installer error
- Unavailability of WordPress administration
- Database connection error
- Cannot record media
- Calling an undefined PHP function
Application Installer error
Problem: An error occurs when installing using the installer on Webhosting or WMS.
Solution: Common installer problems are addressed in the corresponding chapter of the Webhosting - Application Installer manual.
Administration is not available
Problem: I can't log in to the WordPress administration.
Cause: WordPress administration, including the one installed by our installer, is completely separate from the WEDOS customer administration. It may use a different login email and password.
It is also common that a link to the administration in the form /admin or /wp-admin stops working.
Solution: If the administration link does not work as domena.tld/admin
, try typing domena.tld/wp-login.php
where domena.tld
replace it with your domain.
WEDOS customer support does not have access to the WordPress administration. To recover a lost password, use the "Forgot your password?" link. on the login screen.

An error occurred while connecting to the database server
Problem: An error message is displayed An error occurred while connecting to the database server.
Cause: This error is most often encountered after changing the password for the database administrator account.
Solution: Make sure the database that WordPress uses exists, and the file wp-config.php
FTP contains the current connection information for this database, including the username and current password.
If the connection information is correct, check the WEDOS Status ⧉ service to see if there is an outage.
Media upload error - temporary directory does not exist
Problem: Unable to upload media, error message Temporary directory does not exist.
Cause: there is no tmp folder for temporary files in the FTP root directory.
Solution: Log in to FTP using your main account and check that outside folders www
there are also folders tmp
a session
. If they don't exist, start a new one.
Undefined function
Problem: The website is not working, an error message is displayed starting with Fatal error: Call to undefined function.
Cause: the version of WordPress, template, or plugin is not compatible with the PHP version.
Solution: Check the system, template and plugin requirements and set the PHP version they support.
