WMS - Databases


This guide addresses the specifics of setting up WMS databases. Otherwise, with the exceptions mentioned in this article, the same procedures apply as for Webhosting databases, which you can find in the Webhosting - Databases article.

WMS database

Unlike the Webhosting service, where the size of the database is determined by the service tariff, with WMS you allocate resources to databases directly. For detailed information, see WMS - Increasing parameters.

WMS databases exist separately from its web hosts. This has the following consequences:


Setting up a WMS database

Create a new WMS database by following these steps:

  1. Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
  2. Select Hosting Services WMS from the top menu.
  3. From the list of services, select the one where you want to create a new database.
  4. Select New Database from the left menu.
  5. Fill in the database details and confirm with the Create button.

You can find an overview of the databases in the WMS service details, which you can access by following these steps:

  1. Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
  2. Select Hosting Services WMS from the top menu.
  3. From the list of services, select the service whose databases you want to manage.
  4. In the Databases table, click the name of a specific database.

Change of WMS database operator

By default, the database operator is the operator of the corresponding WMS service. To change it, edit the Edit Service Operator Details form in the database detail, check the consents, and save. The system will generate and send a new processing agreement.

What about accessibility of WMS databases from other services?

The WMS databases are, similarly to Webhosting, only accessible from webhosting and WMS WEDOS for security reasons.

How do I know if the databases have enough power allocated?

You can check the performance of databases and the entire service in the Grafana interface by following the WMS Performance Diagnostics instructions.
