Disk – Changing Your Plan

On this pageDisk service plansChanging your planFrequently Asked Questions

In this article, you will learn:

Disk service plans

You can change the plan only for paid Disk plans. WEDOS Disk Free (free with Webhosting and VPS) cannot be changed or merged into a single larger storage space.

You can increase or decrease the disk space to one of the plans listed on the Disk service product pages:

  • 30 GB (up to 30,000 files)
  • 100 GB (up to 200,000 files)
  • multiples of 1 TB (up to 3 million files per TB; maximum 3 TB)

We do not offer Disks with custom parameters.

Changing your plan

When switching to a lower plan (reducing disk space):

  • Make sure that the used space is smaller than the available space of the new plan. The same limit applies to the number of files and users.
  • You can use the unused funds from the higher plan to extend the validity of the service proportionally. Include your renewal request when contacting Support.

Increasing the space is carried out by a technician when available. The system then issues an invoice with a due date of 7 days for payment of the price difference until the end of the currently prepaid period. If you have sufficient credit, the system automatically deducts the amount due from your Credit Account.

To request a decrease or increase of your WEDOS Disk plan, use the contact form ⧉ using this template:

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I increase the number of files or users individually?

Unfortunately, we do not support any custom plan configurations (except for increasing the space).

How do I upgrade a free Disk plan?

A free Disk cannot be upgraded because it is tied to the service it was created for. Create a new (paid) disk and move your data to it.
