DNS record change history
The DNS record change history listing contains information about exactly when a DNS record was set(row-add), changed(row-update), or deleted(row-delete). You can also trace the original text of overwritten or deleted DNS records and use this information to restore them.
To access the DNS record history dump, follow these steps:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- Select DNS from the top menu.
- Select the DNS whose history you want to list.
- Select Change History from the left menu.

The DNS records listed here have the format:
name (if any)|type|ttl|data
Restoring DNS records
Unfortunately, record recovery is not automatic. However, you can trace the change in the history (row-update or row-delete), copy the original data and edit or create the correct DNS record according to the DNS - Domain Records instructions.
After opening the DNS record change history, follow these steps:
- Click the magnifying glass icon to open the detail of the edited or deleted record.
- Copy the data part of the record (the section after the last character |).
- Create or edit the appropriate DNS record.

How do I find out who made the changes?
If you see a large number of changes at once, it may be an automatic DNS setting by our system, for example when pointing a domain to a service, or setting up a new service with DNS editing checked.
