This article deals with setting up and modifying the settings of e-mail boxes in the customer administration. For general information on running email, see the Email - Manual article.

Setting up a new email account
Follow the procedure below to create a new mailbox:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- In the top menu, select Hosting Services Mailhosting, Webhosting, WMS or WebSite.
- Select the service you want to set up your mailbox with.
- From the left menu, select New mailbox.
- Fill in the settings.
- Click the Create Clipboard button at the top of the page.

Bulk mailbox creation
You can also create mailboxes in bulk by using the Bulk Mailbox Creation interface. Follow the same steps as for creating a new mailbox, but instead of New Mailbox , select Bulk Mailbox Creation from the left menu.
Establish bulk mailbox services:
Continue with the following steps:
- In the text box, enter one new mailbox per line in the format:
mailbox name (without domain extension);password
- Confirm the mailboxes by clicking Send.

Edit mailbox settings
If you need to change your mailbox password, follow the instructions in Emails - Change Password.
In the customer administration you can edit mailbox settings or delete them:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- In the top menu, select Hosting Services Webhosting, WMS, WebSite or Mailhosting.
- Select the service for which you want to manage your mailbox.
- In the left-hand menu, select Mailboxes.
- For the mailbox you want to manage, click the magnifying glass icon to set it up, or the cross to delete it.

In this report, you can also see the sizes of mailboxes and the number of emails sent per day.
You can make the following settings in the mailbox details:
- New mailbox, or Mailbox adresa@domena.tld: If you are creating a new mailbox, fill in the name here. You can also fill in aliases to make the mailbox work for multiple email addresses at once.
- Password: Enter or generate (by clicking the key icon) a secure password for the mailbox.
When editing your mailbox, only fill in the password and its verification if you wish to change it.
- Forwarding: you can forward all messages arriving in this mailbox to another email. You can automatically delete forwarded messages from this mailbox after forwarding by checking the appropriate option.
- Enable: In this section, you can enable (check) or disable (uncheck) user login, sending and delivering emails to the mailbox. You can also set the maximum mailbox size and limit for sending emails (cannot be increased beyond the limits set by the web hosting settings).
- Other settings: here you can set whether to filter SPAM to a separate folder, and whether emails from other account addresses can be sent through this mailbox.
Sending from any address within the service means that you can send mail from other mailboxes within this web hosting, including non-existent ones, after logging into this mailbox. Set such mailbox as your identity.
Common problems
Common problems in managing mailboxes include:
Broken login to new mailbox
Problem: We have created a new mailbox and it is not possible to log into it, even via WebMail &boxboxbox;.
Cause: it can take up to half an hour to create a new mailbox on the mailserver.
Solution: Wait at least half an hour to create a mailbox on the server. If login problems persist, try changing your password.
No mail coming to the new mailbox
Problem: We have set up email boxes on the new hosting, but the mail is not coming.
Cause: The most common cause of mail not being delivered is incorrect or non-existent DNS MX records.
Solution: Check that the DNS MX records are pointing to WEDOS.
The service does not have email boxes
Problem: I have no options for setting up and managing mailboxes on my service.
Cause: the WebSite Free version is without email.
Solution: If you want to use emails with this service, choose a higher service option or order a separate Mailhosting ⧉.
