Mailhosting - Order a new service

This guide deals with ordering Mailhosting. If you already have a service and need to manage your mailboxes, follow the instructions in the Emails - Mailboxes guide.

In this article you will learn:

Mail Hosting Service

The Mailhosting ⧉ service arose from the suggestions of customers requiring e-mail boxes without the need to purchase Webhosting or a paid variant of the WebSite service. It works almost identically to the email services of the mentioned products, but you don't pay for a site you don't use or host elsewhere.

If you want to have both e-mails and a website with VEDOS, order the Webhosting service or the paid variant of the WebSite service.

Mailhosting offers, among other things:

  • 5 GB of space for emails (you can increase up to 160 GB, we are preparing 1 TB)
  • unlimited number of mailboxes and mailbox aliases
  • access to emails via client or browser via WebMail ⧉(manual)
  • DKIM, SPF, antispam, antivirus, advanced attack protection
  • Domain trash option (messages to any address delivered to a specific mailbox)

You can find a complete description of the service on the Mailhosting product page ⧉.

The limitations of mail hosting are the same as those of Webhosting and WebSite, i.e.:

  • maximum number of emails sent per day: 500(more information ⧉)
  • maximum size of sent emails including attachments: 100 MB
  • banning the use of the SMTP server for sending bulk emails, including solicited ones(more information &boxboxbox;)
  • e-mail services do not include: groupware, calendar, data sharing, synchronization, Instant Messaging, VoIP

Terms of ordering Mailhosting

Before placing a new order, please make sure that:

  • You own or have in your customer account the domain for which you are ordering Mailhosting. Mailhosting can also be set up by an authorized user of the domain. An exception is ordering a service with a free domain.
  • You do not use the domain for which you order Mailhosting with another email service (Webhosting, paid variants of WebSite).

If you want to get a free domain for Mailhosting, you can set it up directly as part of your Mailhosting order. Domains ordered and paid for separately are not eligible for the free domain offer.
