This article describes how to set up automatic message forwarding in the WebMail ⧉client. You can also forward emails directly from the mailbox, or redirect them from the domain.
The screenshots were taken in the new template Elastic. If you are using the older template Larry, follow the text instructions, or change the template, at least temporarily, by following the guide.
In this article you will learn:
- How to forward a message automatically
- What other forwarding options are available
- Frequently Asked Questions
Automatic Message Forwarding
After forwarding, the system deletes automatically forwarded messages from the server, even if a delivery error occurs.
To set up message forwarding, first create a new filter with these steps:
- Log in to the WebMail ⧉.
- client. In the top right corner, click the Settings.
- button. In the left menu, select Filters.
- Click the Create.

Fill in the new filter form:
- Filter name: Choose any name by which you can easily identify the filter.
- Scope: If you do not want to forward mail based on criteria (e.g. a subject containing the word Invoice), select All messages.
- Actions: In the menu, select Forward message to and enter the email address you want to forward messages to in the empty field.
Finish the setup by clicking the Save.

Message notification
If you only want to be notified that a message has arrived instead of forwarding it, select instead of Forward message to the option Send notification and set the notification email here, and optionally the notification message and other parameters.
Other Forwarding Options
You can extend basic forwarding with further options, for example:
- Adding more email addressesto forward messages to.
- Keeping forwarded messages in the mailbox.
Forwarding to multiple addresses
You can set additional forwarding addresses by clicking the + button in the Actions section and entering the action again: Forward message to and email addresses.
Keeping forwarded messages in the mailbox
With the usual forwarding setup, WebMail deletes the forwarded message. If you want to keep it in the mailbox as a backup or for another purpose, follow these steps:
- Using the + button in the Actions section, add a new action.
- In the list of actions, select Copy message to and then Inbox.
