In this article you will learn:

Customer administration VEDOS

The WEDOS customer administration can be found at https://client.wedos.com/ ⧉.

The main navigation elements of the administration are the top and left menus:

  • From the top menu, select the type of service you want to manage. You can also search for a service by number or name.
  • In the left menu, select the specific action you want to perform.

An intermediate step in this navigation is often selecting a specific service from the list. At the bottom of this list you will find a menu of bulk actions available for that service type.

Below your list of services, you will find a list of services available to you as an authorised user.

Basic Actions

The WEDOS customer administration allows the user to manage, with few exceptions, anything that can be managed about their services. Only a handful of settings are reserved for customer and technical support. Tutorials and procedures can be found here in the knowledge base.

Access to administration

Create a customer account to access the administration. You need this to manage your own services as well as the services of others if another customer adds you as an authorized user.

You can log in and register via third-party services such as Google, Facebook and others. For more information, see Administration - Shared Login. To secure your account, follow the instructions in Administration - Customer Account Security.

You do not need a customer account if you want to become a domain owner (in the registry) or operator of a service that will be held in a customer account by your administrator.

If you already have an account but cannot log in, follow the instructions in Administration - Login Problems.

Checking the status of systems

A key monitor of service status is Status at https://wedos.status.online ⧉. The link along with the status indicator can be found in the top bar of the customer administration. If the indicator is green, the systems status is OK.

Scheduled outages can be found directly in the administration on the Outages, faults and changes page.

Authorised requirements

If you encounter an action that you cannot perform in the customer administration, send a support request in an authorized manner, i.e. from the customer account where the service is located or who is an authorized user of the service. For more information, see Administration - Request Authorization.

Service management

Some services are only partially managed in the customer administration. These include:

  • Web Hosting and WMS: You can also use the WebFTP ⧉(Manual) interface to upload files and phpMyAdmin ⧉ to manage the content of the databases. If you are using a content management system (e.g. WordPress) on your site, you use the administration of this system, which is completely outside of WEDOS administration.
  • WebSite 1.0 uses only the wedos.website ⧉ custom interface.
  • Emails on Webhosting, Mailhosting, WebSite and WMS: You can partially manage your mailboxes via the WebMail &boxboxbox; web client(Manual).
  • You manage VPS ON and Cloud services using the OpenNebula SunStone ⧉ interface.
