Terms and Conditions for Ordering WP Hosting

You can set up Hosting WP for any second- or third-level domain, including domains registered with another provider.

Before placing a new order, please make sure that:

  • You have a domain in your customer account for which you are ordering Hosting WP. Hosting WP can also be set up by an authorized domain user. You do not need to meet this condition if you register your domain elsewhere than with VEDOS.
  • You do not use the domain for which you are ordering Webhosting with any other service (Webhosting, WebSite, Mailhosting, WMS).

WP Hosting Order

If you meet the conditions, order the new Hosting WP using the ⧉ order form. There are five steps to this process:

  1. Basic information
  2. Login/Registration
  3. Billing information
  4. Operator
  5. Finish

1. Basic information

In the first step, select a plan and enter the name (domain or subdomain without www) of your WP Hosting.

With the NoLimit WP and Business WP plans, you can activate additional services to expand your email inboxes. The Business WP plan also offers the option of monthly billing.

VEDOS Selection of WP Hosting Tariffs
Selection of WP Hosting plans in the order

In this step, you can also set:

  • DNS settings. Here you can choose whether to automatically adjust the DNS records of the domain in the WEDOS system so that the newly created service directs the website, emails, or both.
  • Discount coupon. By entering and applying a discount coupon, you can reduce the price of the basic service or additional services. The system will also lock the tariff change. If you want to change the tariff after applying the discount coupon, you must first deactivate the coupon.

The value of the discount coupon may vary depending on the selected tariff.

2. Login/Registration

In this step, log in or register in the customer administration.

If you are already logged in to the administration, the system will skip this step.

If you have problems logging in, follow the instructions in Administration - Login Problems.

3. Billing information

Billing information may differ from the owner's information. The system will send all billing and service setup communications to that email (and only that email).

You can update the billing information for the Service afterwards by following the instructions in Services - Billing Information.

4. Operator

In this step, fill in the details of the Hosting WP service provider with whom WEDOS, a.s. will conclude a processing agreement.

The WP Hosting operator has no special powers over the service. In the event of a dispute, WEDOS, a.s. considers the customer whose account the service is located in to be the owner of the service, unless a court or other competent authority decides otherwise.

5. Finish

In this step, carefully check the information you have entered, especially your billing email address.

At the end of the order you can choose to pay via a deposit account.

After submitting your order, the system will immediately send you an e-mail with your payment details. After successful receipt of payment, it will set up the service within 1 hour.

Launching a website in WordPress

To activate the new service, you need:

DNS settings

To access WP Hosting, you need to set up the appropriate DNS records for your domain. You can do this in the following ways:

  • Automatically when ordering. If you check the option to set records on WEDOS DNS servers (does not change DNS servers for the domain) in your order, the system will automatically redirect the domain to the newly created Hosting WP. This setting is only effective if the domain uses WEDOS DNS servers (NSSET).
  • Automatically from the service details. You can automatically redirect the domain using WEDOS DNS servers (NSSET) by clicking the Set domain button in WDNS according to the instructions below.
  • Manually. If the domain does not use WEDOS DNS servers (NSSET), set the DNS records manually. You can find the values in the table according to the instructions below.

To configure the DNS domain in the service details, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
  2. In the navigation bar, select Hosting Services nd Hosting WP.
  3. From the menu, select the service whose DNS you want to set or find out.
  4. Scroll down to the Domain DNS Settings table.

  • Username: name of the billing email address (without the @ sign and domain)
  • Password: Reset according to the instructions in the service setup email or at vasedomena.tld/wp-login.php?action=lostpasswordwhere vasedomena.tld Replace with your domain name.

Getting your emails up and running

Emails are available in the NoLimit WP and Business WP plans. Set them up according to the following instructions:

  1. Ensure that the domain has thecorrect MX and SPF recordsset up.
  2. Set up new email accounts.
  3. If you are switching from another service, move your emails to your new mailboxes.
  4. Check your mailboxes via WebMail, or connect to your email client using IMAP and SMTP.

Common problems

Common issues with ordering and launching Hosting WP include:

The domain is in another customer account

Problem: Error This domain name cannot be used. - The domain is registered in another customer account, you must be in the same account or set permissions.

Cause: the domain name you want to set for the hosting service must be in the same customer account as the hosting service, or it must be an account that is an authorized user of the domain and DNS. This is a security measure to prevent misuse of domains.

Solution: Move the domain at least temporarily to your own customer account(using the service transfer method or an authorization password), or have your account set up as an authorized user.

The domain name cannot be used

Problem: Error This domain name cannot be used. - The domain name is already in use with another service (service).

Cause: a domain (or subdomain) name can be used at most once for most hosting services in our system. It doesn't matter if these services are on a single customer account - the restriction is system-wide.

Solution: Rename the conflicting service (Website, Mail Hosting, Web Hosting, or alias) according to the instructions in the link, for example, to old.domain.tld, where domain.tld is replaced with the name of your domain. Remove the alias completely.

The emails stopped coming

Problem: After setting up WP Hosting, emails stopped being sent to external services (Google Workspace, etc.).

Cause: If you leave the option to make all changes in WEDOS DNS checked in your web hosting order, the system will overwrite both A and AAAA records, as well as MX records.

Solution: Set the DNS MX records back to the original email service provider.

For future orders where a similar problem may arise, uncheck the automatic DNS settings for email routing.

The link to change the WP password does not work

Problem: An email about setting up WP Hosting arrived, but after clicking on the link to the administration, an error or a completely different page appears.

Cause: The most common cause is a problem with DNS record settings.

Solution: Check if the DNS records are set up correctly. If the domain does not use WEDOS DNS servers (NSSET), make sure that the settings have been correctly applied by the actual provider. In some cases, this setting may take up to tens of minutes, so please wait and try to open the WP administration later.

Frequently Asked Questions
